Business Mentoring

How I give back

I work with councils and organisations to mentor early-stage founders because everyone deserves a guide when they're starting out.

I've been building businesses since I was 16. I know what it's like to start with nothing but an idea and naive confidence (a true superpower!). I also know how much easier it would've been with someone who'd walked the path before.

That's why I mentor.

Through partnerships with councils, enterprise programs, and business organisations, I guide founders at the beginning of their journey, helping them avoid the mistakes I made and build on what I learned.

Helping early-stage founders

Mentoring through organisational partnerships

My standalone mentoring work focuses on early-stage founders, typically in their first 1-3 years of business. These are founders who are just starting out, building their first business, navigating the basics like pricing and positioning, and figuring out if their idea has legs.

I bring 25 years of building businesses across multiple industries: model horses at 16, record labels in my 20s, coaching practice now. I've navigated early-stage chaos, recovered from rock bottom, and proven unconventional approaches work. I'm not teaching theory. I'm sharing what actually worked.. and what didn't.

How to access mentoring:

If you're an early-stage founder: Check with your local council or enterprise program to see if I'm working with them. My mentoring happens through these partnerships.

If you run an organisation: I offer 1:1 mentoring sessions, group workshops, office hours, and custom programs for your founders. Let's talk about how we can work together.

“When I first started my business there were things
I simply didn't know how to do. Becky's lived experience
in business was immensely helpful."

- Lynda Haynes-McCarthy, Executive Coach

Also supporting established founders

My coaching naturally includes mentoring

If you're an established founder feeling trapped in a cage business you built, you don't need standalone mentoring. You need coaching. The deep transformation work that helps you escape the cage, find your voice again, and rebuild on your terms.

My coaching approach naturally weaves mentoring throughout our three months together. While asking powerful questions helps you find your own answers (which is the coaching), sometimes you need a nudge in the right direction, practical guidance on pricing a new offer, positioning yourself differently, or making a business decision when you're stuck between two options (which is the mentoring).

You get both. The deep coaching work that changes who you are and how you show up, and the practical mentoring that guides what you build and how you build it.

I don't offer mentoring-only to established founders because you can't skip the transformation work when you're stuck in a cage. Tactics don't fix identity problems. But mentoring is woven throughout the entire coaching journey, showing up exactly when you need that practical guidance alongside the deeper work.
