Business Mentoring
How I give back
I work with councils and organisations to mentor early-stage founders
I've been building businesses since I was 16. I know what it's like to start with nothing but an idea and naive confidence. I also know how much easier it would have been with someone who'd walked the path before. That's why I mentor.
Through partnerships with councils, enterprise programmes, and business organisations, I work with founders at the beginning — helping them build on solid foundations, avoid the mistakes I made, and figure out if their idea has real legs.
Helping early-stage founders
Mentoring through organisational partnerships
My mentoring focuses on founders in their first one to three years, navigating pricing and positioning, testing whether their idea works, and building the foundations that actually hold. I bring 25 years of building across multiple industries: model horses at 16, record labels in my 20s, coaching practice now. I'm not teaching theory. I'm sharing what actually worked… and what didn't.
How to access mentoring:
If you're an early-stage founder: Check with your local council or enterprise program to see if I'm working with them. My mentoring happens through these partnerships.
If you run an organisation: I offer 1:1 mentoring sessions, group workshops, office hours, and custom programs for your founders. Let's talk about how we can work together.
For established founders
If you're further along- a business that's working but has drifted from what you actually wanted to build- mentoring alone isn't what you need. That's coaching territory.
My coaching includes mentoring, naturally
The distinction matters: coaching asks the questions that help you find your own answers, while mentoring offers practical guidance when you need a nudge in the right direction- on pricing, positioning, a decision you're stuck on. My three-month coaching partnership weaves both throughout. You get the deep work of figuring out what you're actually building, and the practical guidance of someone who has built across six industries for 25 years. Both, when you need them, at the right time.
“When I first started my business there were things I simply didn't know how to do. Becky's lived experience in business was immensely helpful."
