I don't collect awards like Pokémon cards. I build businesses. But when the work gets recognised, it's a humbling confirmation that doing it your way- quietly, unconventionally, and without apology, actually works.

Here's some of that recognition:

What these awards mean

I've been building unconventional businesses for 25 years, since I was 16: Model horses. Record labels. Brand strategy. Model dinosaurs. Business coaching.

These awards prove something important, that you don't have to follow the rules to be successful. You don't have to hustle yourself to death to get recognised, act like everyone else to matter or shout to be seen.

Quiet disruption works. Building your way is possible. I'm not special. I'm just willing to do it differently. You can too.

Blazing a Trail, always

I’m also fellow of the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (RSA). A Fellowship of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA) is an award granted to individuals that the Royal Society of Arts (RSA) judges to have made outstanding achievements to social progress and development.

I’m very proud to be part of the EveryWoman Modern Muse project too, a project that had the aim to inspire 1 million young girls and women to take their own path in the world of business.

In 2022, I also received my BA (Honours) Open degree after studying part-time for nearly 15 years.

Covering subjects including Humanities, Creative Writing, Design, Marketing, Leadership and Customer Profiling, my OU journey is one that proved that it’s never too late to achieve and learn something, and that by challenging yourself you never know what opportunities you’ll uncover. For me, it uncovered an unknown love of screenwriting, as well as giving me the tools and expertise to do my role as a business coach extremely well.

A brochure titled "Ceremonies 2024" from The Open University, featuring a close-up of a Hardy Boyz card and a Lego figure with a gold chain, on a person's lap in a room with wooden flooring.
Two women in blue graduation gowns and the woman on the right is also wearing a graduation cap, standing outside on a brick pavement near a water feature with a city building in the background.

Awards are awesome but doing it your own way is much more important

Now, it’s your turn

These awards came from starting unconventionally, quietly, and building things that people said would never work. Now it's over to you. I’m passing the baton.

That vision you've been putting on the backburner is possible. It's time to dust it off and bring it into the light, and to finally bring to life that impact you know, deep down, you're meant to create.

Start that journey by booking your onwards and upwards call or read about other peoples transformations.

What if quiet confidence is more powerful than loud performance?
